Can I use your coloured sand in my aquarium?2021-02-17T11:35:43+00:00

Due to the product being completely submerged in water for long periods of time we would suggest not using it in aquariums. Over time some colour may come off the grains of sand and into the water. This is because we do not used a chemical-based epoxy system to coat our sand because we are eco-friendly and love the environment! (we are working on a coloured sand you can use with your fish tank)

Can I use your coloured sand in my terrarium/vivarium?2021-02-17T11:36:03+00:00

Yes! Our sand is absolutely fine for use inside your pets houses.

Can I use your coloured play sand in my outdoor play area?2021-02-17T11:36:24+00:00

Yes you can, but over long periods of time you will find it loses it’s colour due to our wet weather conditions here in the UK, and you may also find some colour transference over time. This product has been developed mainly for sand pits and sand trays which you can keep covered.

What do I do if my Smooshy Sand gets wet?2021-02-17T11:36:47+00:00

If your sand gets wet, air drying would put it back to its original silky soft texture.

How do I dispose of my Smooshy/Slinky Sand?2021-02-24T18:07:33+00:00

All our sand is not hazardous to the environment as it is a natural mineral and could be disposed of in your rubbish bins. It’s non-biodegradable, and it would not be decomposed by bacteria or other living organisms because it is SAND! It’s also safe to use outside, and dropping small pieces on the grass is not harmful and would not hurt your grass in small quantities. Just avoid a large amount of sand lying on the grass as it would prevent it from getting it’s needed oxygen and moisture. So either sprinkle outside or pop in the rubbish.

Can I recycle my plastic packaging?2021-02-17T11:37:23+00:00

Yes. All our plastic bottles and tubs can be re-used many times for storing all manner of things, but when you finally have no use for them you can recycle (check local council guidelines). Likewise with our plastic pouches and bags; most supermarkets have a special plastic bag recycling point you can pop them in.

Can I have a different combination of colours in the multi-pack than what is listed?2021-02-17T11:37:42+00:00

Yes, if you use our online form to make your request we will be happy to send any choice of rainbow colours you wish.

Does your sand stain clothes or skin?2021-02-17T11:37:59+00:00

All of our products are tested for colour-fastness when in contact with moisture and have passed all the relevant testing requirements and should not stain under dry conditions, although we cannot guarantee this as there are rare exceptions, such as if you are wearing sun cream or have very sweaty palms, where some colour transfer may occur.

What do I do if the sand gets in my child’s eyes?2021-02-17T11:38:16+00:00

Our sand is specially selected as it has a rounded grain and is washed 3 times so it causes the least amount of discomfort if it gets in the eyes. If this should happen, you need to rinse the eyes immediately with water and do not let your child rub them. We always recommend adult supervision.

What happens if I mix the colours of my sand?2021-02-17T11:38:37+00:00

It will look very pretty, but you will not be able to separate the colours again!

Is the sand suitable for nail art?2021-02-17T11:39:01+00:00

Sure, why not! Our fine craft sand can be used for nail art!
